In terms of the neurobiology of OUD, this webinar will define addiction, the risk factors, stages of the addiction cycle and neuroadaptations. We will review the statistics in terms of overdose deaths, rises in the opioid overdoses, health - related quality of life and chronic diseases. Stigma plays a large role in OUD and this webinar will explore how words matter and how the terminology surrounding OUD is evolving.
