As the World continues the battle against the novel COVID-19 virus, health organizations are under immense pressure to treat those infected with the disease while also caring for the rest of their patient population. With most patients still encouraged to stay clear of healthcare facilities unless it’s an emergency, how can healthcare providers engage with patients outside of the health system setting to continue care as well as drive revenue?

Bassett Healthcare Network, an integrated system that provides care and services to people across eight counties in upstate New York, like many, was faced with this challenge. One resolution Bassett adopted to help engage their patients, communicate critical COVID-19 information, as well as continue to treat patients virtually and drive revenue, was to leverage its IBM Phytel solution to assist their efforts.

During this 60-minute webinar, Frank Panzarella, Network Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Bassett Medical Group at Bassett Healthcare Network will provide an overview on how the organization addressed the COVID-19 crisis in order to keep its doors open to those that needed care the most, keep their staff and providers safe as well as its ongoing plans to return to the “new normal” of patient care. Specifically, Frank will dive into how they will leverage the automated patient engagement technology, IBM Phytel, to communicate and care for patients inside and outside of the health system. Mr. Panzarella will emphasize the importance of embracing virtual care and how Phytel is supporting its effort to increase telemedicine visits, such as Medicare Annual Wellness Visits, to manage patients’ health and drive revenue amidst the COVID-19 crisis.

After the webinar, AMGA attendees will have:

  • Learned how Bassett Healthcare Network addressed the COVID-19 crisis across the organization;
  • Understand how patient engagement solutions can help support their telehealth programs;
  • And, learned how they can continue to drive revenue to their organization amidst the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic
